How Manually Open Garage Door
Pulling the cord detaches the garage door from the opener and allows it to open manually.

Grab the bottom of the door and lift it straight up.
To manually open your garage you will first need to open any latches or locks on the outside that otherwise keep the door shut. It is pretty easy to do. Typically you have to pull the cord straight down or slightly away from the door to disengage the opener. Pull the emergency cord to disconnect the door from the garage door opener.
Lift the garage door straight up until the door is fully open.
